A painting inspired by the human towers of the Catalonian tradition, the Castells.

If you ever witness a local festivity in Catalonia, its hard to ignore the powerful presence of the Castellers. They work as a unit, keeping strength and balance in full presence and building a human tower up from values of team spirit and solidarity, a hive mind. Women only started participating in the 80s and their union with men and the integration of children made the structures much taller than before. The painting connects the geometry of this human architecture with that one of nature colour and our DNA code.
