In September of 2017 I traveled to China and Mongolia for two months as part of the One Belt One Road International Tour Exhibition, an initiative of the Chinese government to strengthen the commercial/cultural dialogue with the west. In its 2017 edition the project included two collective exhibitions and a period of artistic residency in Mongolia, traveling the country with a group of international artists. In China we participated in the One Belt one Road International Exhibition at the Hohhot Museum, where my works from The Blood Series were censored out of the event the day previous to the opening. No explanation, just direct orders to take one of the works down. A few days after that show we jumped in a bus and started our way to Mongolia, it took us about 2 days to cross the Gobi desert and get to the capital. In Ulan Bator we participated in the collective exhibition Harmony Makers, in UMA Gallery. We finished the project with a residency/tour period exploring wild Mongolia in the company of artists, nomads and our local guides.
